During your appointment, your practitioner first prepares your underarms by cleansing and marking the treatment areas. Your practitioner will then inject a local anesthetic to keep you comfortable. Using the marks on your underarm as a guide, your practitioner applies the handpiece and releases a burst of electromagnetic energy. During this time, you may feel a brief sensation of warmth or stinging. The total treatment takes less than two hours and has minimal downtime or side effects, and results are permanent.
Immediately after your appointment, your practitioner gives you a cold compress to hold under your arms. Patients can return to normal activities the following day. We recommend taking a few days off from strenuous activities, such as vigorous exercise.
